Odds 'n Ends

In 2006 I met with a group of folks from several Northern Virginia car clubs and founded The Northern Virginia Car Club Council. The Council watches out for legislation at all levels of government that may impact the automotive hobbyist, and spreads the word among the Council members so that we can organize and be prepared to respond to any potential changes. NOVACCC works with the other Virginia car Councils, Car Club Council of Hampton Roads, Car Club Council of Central Virginia, Virginia Peninsula Car Club Council, and the Southwest Virginia Car Club Council. All of the Councils are members of the Virginia Association of Car Councils.

Most of the heavy mechanical work on The Gal was performed by G&C Express Auto Services in Chantilly, Virginia. The owner, Gregg Caldwell and his chief mechanic, Mark Sumrell are great with any type of car or truck, and treat The Gal with all the love and respect she deserves.

The great paint on The Gal was applied by MAACO of Chantilly, Virginia. I couldn't afford a many-thousand dollar custom paint job, but they came through with a really nice looking finish that I am proud to show off.

Of course, I couldn't drive The Gal on the streets of Virginia without decent insurance. That job falls to Hagerty Insurance. They provide the coverage I need at a great price with excellent service.
